About Dominant Industry:
Dominant Industry, based in Paju, Korea, makes small-batch specialty inks for dip pens. Adapting mixing and blending techniques developed for silk-screen inks, they have developed calligraphy inks with unique mirror and metallic finishes that are expressive and beautiful on paper, plastic, film, and glass. If digital CMYK colors are flat shades that are created through a subtractive process, Dominant Industry prides itself on its life-like colors that are created through an additive process, utilizing reflective and transparent pigments that incorporate natural light. Dominant Industry strives to create “bottled light,” colors that can be felt and experienced. This idea is reflected in Dominant Industry’s 4 different finishes: Hologram, Mirror, Pearl, and Standard.
I absolutely love this pink. It’s a muted, dusty shade of pink that looks gorgeous on paper.
However, when I used it in the matching Cherishment fountain pen, I ran into a frustrating issue. If I left the pen overnight, it would only write for a couple of lines before running dry. I had to manually twist the converter to push more ink into the feed before I could continue writing.
I later found several Reddit posts from people experiencing the same problem. Most of the replies suggested that this brand’s inks tend to dry out too quickly. Honestly, I never expected the matching ink to perform so poorly in the matching pen.
Overall, I still adore the color of this ink. I’m planning to try it in my new TWSBI and see whether it performs better there.
Omggggggg if I could give this more stars I would! This has quickly become my favorite ink, I currently have it in two of my pens ❤️
