Born from Dominant Industry in 2026, this fountain pen brand aspires to create writing instruments in harmony with beautiful inks. Their story starts at Hotel Keyno, a secluded retreat perched in the mountains of a faraway peaceful island. Each release is created with a a hotel visit in mind through each "key number" assigned to a pen. With a refined touch and balanced weight, each piece delivers an indulgent writing experience. Their pens are fitted with an ebonite feed for a rich and seamless ink flow. Rooted in story-driven design and detail, their fountain pens aim to inspire and nurture creativity.
About Dominant Industry:
Dominant Industry, based in Paju, Korea, makes small-batch specialty inks for dip pens. Adapting mixing and blending techniques developed for silk-screen inks, they have developed calligraphy inks with unique mirror and metallic finishes that are expressive and beautiful on paper, plastic, film, and glass. If digital CMYK colors are flat shades that are created through a subtractive process, Dominant Industry prides itself on its life-like colors that are created through an additive process, utilizing reflective and transparent pigments that incorporate natural light. Dominant Industry strives to create “bottled light,” colors that can be felt and experienced. This idea is reflected in Dominant Industry’s 4 different finishes: Hologram, Mirror, Pearl, and Standard.
Beautiful pen. Love the details and overall theme. The cap is the heaviest part while the body is light weight. Colors are not vibrant but still looks stunning and delicate.
I bought this in a fine nib and it writes beautifully. It’s quickly become my favorite pen in my collection because everything about it is a dreamy experience. I can’t wait to get the Serenity next and look forward to more in the Keyno line.
Remarkably smooth, beautiful and elegant!
I am old. I own a lot of fountain pens. I am not easily impressed. But this pen is simply delicious! The attention to detail is notable. Not only is it beautiful to look at, but it is well balanced and a pleasure to write with. But on top of that, the presentation and packaging took my breath away. I have never seen such a beautiful box, and the enclosures with it are charming and delightful. I actually put them into my Hobonichi to keep. The tines on the nib were a bit tight, which is not unusual, and flossing them with a brass sheet was enough to make this a perfect writer. I could not be more pleased.
Amazing in person and writes so beautifully! Super satisfied with my purchase!
