Ubi, or purple yam, is one of the Philippines' most popular food crops. Known to grow especially well in Bohol, the province celebrates the annual Ubi Festival in honor of this beloved root crop. The year 1663 also marks the Spanish retreat from their attempted invasion of Mindanao and Zamboanga. Mulberry (Ubi 1663) recreates the rich color of purple yam while celebrating the spirit of resilience and resistance.

This ink is a desaturated shade of dark purple with the faintest hint of a green sheen.
