Shachihata Oil-Based Ink Pad - Watashi no Iro - Memories of Special Moments - Limited Edition

 

Launched in June 2025, Shachihata commemorated their 100th anniversary with five limited edition ink pads designed around special occasions like Christmas, Valentine's Day, and birthdays. These ink pads, which are part of the Watashi No Iro series, each feature a combination of colors designed to match the qualities and emotions of special moments. Originally designed by Satoru Utashiro, designer and winner of the Grand Prix at the 12th Shachihata New Product Design Competition, they are a fun twist on Shachihata's classic Iromoyo series. Each ink pad is a unique blend of colors, so each impression will leave a different combination of colors from the next. Choose from various colors and designs such as Christmas (るんるん) , New Year's Day (わくわく), Valentine (どきどき), Halloween (ぞくぞく), and Birthday (うきうき).

 

Shachihata started making stamp pads in 1925. The pad comes with oil-based pigment ink, and the surface of the pad is designed to make full contact with a stamp. It produces a sharper and brighter result than a standard ink pad. It also dries fast and waterproof. The lid of this series is not attached.

Shachihata is a Japanese ink brand from Nagoya established in 1925. They got their start with the groundbreaking self-inking stamp pad, the Mannen Stamp Pad. Now, they produce much more than stamp pads and are well known for manufacturing hanko, Japanese seal stamps. Hanko are widely used in Japan to stamp official documents, almost like a signature.
